Thermography

Your Health in color. Radiation-free, FDA registered and approved, non-invasive screenings from breast health to full and half body screenings for injury, pain, pathology, illness and disease. For the aid in early detection, prevention and intervention of disease and dysfunction.

Thermography (Thermal Imaging)

Medical Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging (DITI) is a technique used to measure and quantify the body‘s physiology, or function. Using FDA registered sophisticated medical imaging software, DITI converts infrared radiation emitted from the skin surface into electrical impulses that are visualized in color on a monitor. This visual image graphically maps the body temperature and is referred to as a thermogram. These thermal images are then analyzed, interpreted, and risk assessed by board-certified medical doctors (MD’s) trained in Thermology. This report, which includes your thermal images, will be made available to you within a short time frame following your appointment.

DITI is unique in showing the body’s metabolic processes and physiological change. DITI specifically measures the somatic component of the central nervous system (CNC), where it is stimulated in the same anatomical location as its sensory counterpart. The somato sympathetic response appears on DITI as a localized area of altered temperature with specific features for each anatomical lesion. One of the unique qualities of DITI is the ability to “see pain” which helps localize areas of concern and/or pathology.

Unlike other modalities of testing such as mammography, X-Ray, CT..ect., which are tests of the anatomy, DII is a test of physiology and is non-invasive. Thermography’s high sensitivity and reliability aid in the diagnosis, evaluation, monitoring, and documentation of a large number of injuries and conditions including various types of breast diseases/infections, soft tissue injuries, muscle strains and sprains, vascular abnormalities, sensory/autonomic nerve fiber dysfunction, all the way down to capillary dysfunction, in a completely pain-free (no contact with the body), radiation-free, (approx) 15 minute scan. Clinical fields of thermography include Rheumatology, neurology, physiotherapy, sports medicine, oncology, pediatric orthopedics, and many others.
